Friday's Letters

Dear Friday, are you really here or are you just teasing me? I feel like this week has dragged on by and this day has taken forever to get here. I also have mixed feelings about you, Friday. I'm happy you're here, but I'm not sure I'm ready for the weekend you are bringing me. Dear Husband, You're officially working summer hours. I love now that I get to see you during the day and eat dinner with you, but it breaks my heart every time you have to leave again to go to your other job. But you're doing an amazing job! I'm so proud of you. Next week we get to celebrate your first "official" Father's Day. I hope you're ready! Dear Bug, You are one raspberry blowing girl these days! That means a ton of extra drool for this mama to deal with. It's super cute though. You're getting bigger and bigger each day. Can we slow down already? This morning you figured out how to put your own paci in your mouth! No more growing up now, I mean it! (Anybody want a peanut.) Dear Sunday, Ready or not here I come...My first official Sunday being in charge. (I was in charge last week too, I just wasn't there).

Missing from the Blog-O-Sphere

I feel like I've been missing from the blog-o-sphere. Things have been crazy these past few days and I have barely had a chance to sit down.

Well, here's a quick catch-up.

A few weeks ago I posted this picture:

Well, the time has come to share it with everyone on the blog-o-sphere. I have taken the position of preschool director at our church. My first official day was the beginning of this month, but I've been working alongside our former director in hoping to make the transition go as smoothly as possible. The best thing about taking this position is I get to bring Bug with me to work! Plus, it's only part-time, so it doesn't take away time from raising my girl! I love that I get to take her to work with me. Now, don't get me wrong, it's not the easiest thing in the world. Sometimes Bug doesn't like to cooperate with all that is going on, so we have to cut our day at the office short, but it's still a joy to have her with me. 

This past weekend the three of us said goodbye to some pretty awesome friends as they start their new adventure. I'm still not sure I'm ready to talk about this move just yet...so here are the fun parts of our adventure in helping them move:

In case you could't tell, we're starting Bug off early in the whole Disney obsession category. We've got our priorities straight ;)

Then Monday I was off on a staff retreat to the beautiful mountains of north Georgia:

See. I wasn't lying. This place was beautiful. 

I'm trying to think of anything else big that has happened. Bug has started to blow raspberries and she is a rolling machine! Right now we're just trying to get back into a routine. We definitely need a bit of relaxing and recuperating, but alas, it seems to be alluding us. So, though there is much more that could and should be said, I'm off to sleep while I can. Hopefully, it won't be such a long stint between my next post and this one.

Let the Chasing Begin

We've officially got a roller! Bug has been working so hard on rolling over for over a month and this past week she has finally mastered it. Things are starting to change now that we've got a mover in the house. Now it's time to baby proof the house. I'm not going to go full out with every little trinket, all I'm planning on doing is locking the cabinets with knives and chemicals in them, covering the outlets, and putting blankets over the edge of the fireplace. Nothing too major.

Her first time rolling over from front to back was in her crib after a nap! She had already rolled from back to front at her Bibi's house (my mom) the day before.

A Quick Update

It's been a long short week. I am absolutely exhausted and it's only Tuesday. This week is kinda crazy as we prepare to help our good great friends move to Orlando this weekend. Then, when I get back, I have a staff retreat to attend. It's going to be crazy here until next week and I'm already tired just thinking about it.

Here's a Memorial Day recap:

Not too much to report. We introduced Bug to the kiddie pool. I think she liked it. At least, she didn't fuss when we sat her in there. I joined her in the pool so that she could acclimate easier. I think it would have been better had the water been warmer. 

That pretty much sums up our weekend. I can't remember what we did Saturday or Sunday. I know we went to church on Sunday, but for the life of me I can't remember what happened Saturday! Oi. I don't appreciate it when that happens. 

OH! I had a photo shoot early Saturday morning. I took the most adorable little boy's 1 year pictures! I'll post pictures after his party. I don't want to ruin any surprises.

Then and Now

I found these boots for our maternity shoot and just fell in love with them! I love red boots! In fact, I own a pair myself, so I just had to get these for my little Bug.

The other day I was playing around and found that she fits into them now! This made for an impromptu photo shoot with Mommy and Baby.

I love that we're matching :) It's hard to believe that I bought her those little boots when I was around 37/38 weeks pregnant. Now, at 4 months, she's wearing them! She's officially getting too big. Can time please slow down? I'm trying to do more impromptu photo shoots with my girl to capture all the stages in her life. Tomorrow, I'll have to do a photo dump of all the pictures. She's been a good sport...for the most part. But I guess that's what you get for having a shutter-bug for a mommy.
