Thanksgiving in Pictures

We started the week of Thanksgiving off at Bibi and PopPops's house. My brother and his girlfriend came to visit and meet James.
They, of course, came with gifts for the littles. Jo got this adorable tutu that she absolutely loves to dance around in!

Jo's favorite thing now is to color and her favorite person to color with? Mere!

We took a day to go shopping at Ikea for Christmas presents. The babies both did great and we were in and out of there, which is saying something for shopping at Ikea. I think I could get lost there. This is what happened on the way home.

This is how we spent Thanksgiving morning. I am so thankful for these two little blessing and the mess they bring!

We shared Thanksgiving dinner with the hubs's family at his grandmother's house. All six great-grands were there, five girls and this dapper dude!

I love my little ones! Jo's a mess and this is the best picture out of many that we were able to get.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving, with so much to be thankful for. This time last year, we had just lost our little one and James wasn't even a thought. We were raw with the loss and enjoying the season was very difficult for me. This year was very different. I miss my angel very much, but I also have my rainbow in my hands. I am so blessed by what God has given me.

Merry Christmas and 37 Week Update!

(our internet has been spotty over the past few days and things have been crazy with the holidays, but better late than never...)

It's hard to believe that next year we will be a family of three celebrating Christmas. It's quite unreal, actually. But we couldn't be more excited!

We're ready for Baby Girl to be here and can't wait to meet her! Now to spend the next week of vacation cleaning and organizing and getting ready for our newest member to join us!

(my 37 week, Christmas day bump)

How far along: 37 weeks! She's full term!

Trimester: Third and final trimester!!!!!

Baby size: Watermelon - somewhere between 19 and 22 inches, over 7 lbs possibly...I'm guessing right now. Haha

Toes: What toes? I have toes?!

Gender: BABY GIRL!

Movement: This girl still loves to move! Now it feels like my stomach is being kneaded on the inside. She is constantly on the move!

Cravings: Anything sweet and peppermint, but I guess it has to do with the season

Aversions: I tried chicken again...I nearly threw up. It was horrible. No thank you.

Nausea/Morning sickness: No more! Just tired now, and constantly out of breath. Round ligament pain, itchy and stretchy skin, heartburn, acid re-flux, some slight dizziness, and hip and back pain, but nothing to complain about :) Also, I'm beginning to experience Braxton Hicks contractions, which are getting more and more frequent.

Maternity clothes: Yes...however, I'm getting to the point where nothing fits, only my leggings. It's nice that I'm on break right now and don't really have to get dressed for any particular reason. So right now I'm living in the hubs's pajama pants.

Best moment of the week: Christmas was so special this year. It was our last one as a family of two. We got to enjoy each other and dream about what Christmas will be like next year.

What I'm looking forward to: This girl getting here! Her due date is 2 and a half weeks away and I'm anxious for her arrival!

Happy Holidays - Cards

So every year I have this dilemma of whether or not the hubby and I should send out Christmas cards. And every year I always plan to, but end up not sending them out. First off cards are e x p e n s i v e. I would love to do a postcard style one with a fun Christmas picture on the front because it's more cost effective, but who honestly just wants a picture of the two of us (I figure that once we have kids this dilemma will get easier). Then there is the time and energy put into it. I know there is something joyous about getting mail delivered to you, and I have always wanted to be the one to send you that joy, but in the end I just don't have the time nor the energy to really put myself into doing it (once again, I'm hoping this may change when I have kids, but who am I kidding? I'll probably have a lot less time and a lot less energy then). Then there are e-cards. I like them, but they just seem a little, I don't know, cold. So typically I just opt out of the whole sending Christmas cards thing. But that doesn't stop me from looking at cute card ideas for the future.

Here are just some ideas for future Christmas cards that I may (or may not) send out.
